This audiobook is probably more appealing than the full-length book since it is performed by the principals of ESPN's SportsCenter themselves. Their performance is as immediate and captivating as the live TV sports show that Olbermann and Patrick write and present seven nights a week. The story is one of ESPN, of tremendous luck and audacity, and of the amount of behind-the-scenes effort it usually takes to make something look easy. The dialog is fast-paced, often uproariously funny, and always interesting. This is not just for sports fans and couch potatoes. Olbermann and Patrick have opinions on everything: cable networks, sports journalism, the sports and their stars, and even each other's opinions, talents, insights, and faults. Their choices for their lists of all-time favorite athletes, greatest sporting events personally attended, and best nonmembers of the Baseball Hall of Fame are a lot of fun. Plus, the listener will learn a lot about Olbermann, Patrick, and the sports industry along the way. Very highly recommended for general audiences.?Cliff Glaviano, Bowling Green State Univ.
